Triticale, / trɪtɪkeɪliː / è un ibrido di grano e di segale prima allevati nei laboratori durante la fine del XIX secolo. Il grano è stato originariamente allevato in Scozia e in Svezia. Il triticale commercialmente disponibile è quasi sempre un ibrido di seconda generazione, cioè una croce tra due tipi di triticale primario. Di regola, il triticale combina il potenziale di rendimento e la qualità del grano di grano con la malattia e la tolleranza ambientale della segala.
