kaleš este evidentă mai ales prin faptul că acest cuvînt se folosește aproape exclusiv cu privire la ochi. Totuși,

kaleš (Berneker 293; DAR), nu este probabilă; mai curînd este vorba de un
der. de la
vb. galiti, ca
bg. galen „fraged”, cu schimbare de
suf. ca urmare a contaminării menționate (
cf. Lowë 50). –
