Uma solução aquosa é uma solução em que o solvente é água. Geralmente é mostrado em equações químicas anexando à fórmula relevante. Se a substância não tiver a capacidade de dissolver na água, as moléculas formam um precipitado. As soluções aquosas que conduzem a corrente elétrica contêm eletrólitos fortes de forma eficiente, enquanto que os que conduzem mal são considerados eletrólitos fracos.
