Uma indicação é qualquer um dos anos em um ciclo de 15 anos utilizado para namorar documentos medievais em toda a Europa, Oriente e Oeste. Cada ano de um ciclo foi numerado: primeira indicação, segunda indicação, etc. No entanto, os ciclos não foram numerados, portanto, outras informações são necessárias para identificar o ano específico.
