O termo "sair" também pode ser usado para se referir à divulgação de outros tipos de informações que podem ser consideradas privadas, como crenças religiosas minoritárias, por exemplo reveladas como ateu em uma comunidade fortemente cristã. Na cultura do hacktivismo, a prática de divulgar informações privadas é chamada de doxing.
