rom., abia dacă a fost atestat în
mr. Constituie o explicație mai bună pentru toate numele de persoane și de animale în general se pun în legătură cu
floare, cum sînt:
Florea, Florin, Floarea, Florica pentru persoane,
Floraia pentru vaci,
Florean, Florilă, pentru boi,
Floran pentru cîini. În general aceste nume se dau unor persoane sau animale cu părul galben; însă prin etimologie populară se dau adesea și unor animale care se nasc în săptămîna Duminica floriilor. –
