Analogie
Analogia este un proces cognitiv de transfer de informații sau de semnificații de la un anumit subiect la alt subiect particular sau o expresie lingvistică corespunzătoare unui astfel de proces. Într-un sens mai restrâns, analogia este o inferență sau un argument de la un particular la altul, spre deosebire de deducție, inducție și răpire, în cazul în care cel puțin unul dintre premise sau concluzia este generală. Analogia cuvântului se poate referi și la relația dintre sursă și ținta în sine, care este adesea, deși nu neapărat, o similitudine, ca în noțiunea biologică a analogiei. Modelul lui Niels Bohr al atomului a făcut o analogie între atom și sistemul solar. Analogia joacă un rol semnificativ în rezolvarea problemelor, cum ar fi, luarea deciziilor, percepția, memoria, creativitatea, emoția, explicația și comunicarea. Se află în spatele sarcinilor de bază, cum ar fi identificarea locurilor, a obiectelor și a oamenilor, de exemplu, în percepția feței și în sistemele de recunoaștere facială.
