Arabii, cunoscuți și sub denumirea de oameni arabi sau vorbitori de arabi, sunt un grup panetnic major. Acestea locuiesc în principal în Asia de Vest, Africa de Nord, părți din Cornul Africii și alte zone din lumea arabă. Populațiile vorbitoare arabă, în general, sunt o colecție extrem de eterogenă de popoare, cu origini și identități ancestrale diferite. Legăturile care leagă popoarele arabe sunt o sursă de moștenire comună în virtutea tradițiilor lingvistice, culturale și politice comune. Astfel, identitatea arabă se bazează pe unul sau mai multe motive genealogice, lingvistice sau culturale, deși identitățile concurente au adesea un rol mai important, pe baza considerentelor care includ afilieri și relații regionale, naționale, clan, ruine, sect și trib. Dacă panetnicitatea arabă este privită ca o singură populație, atunci ea constituie unul dintre cele mai mari grupuri din lume după chinezii Han. Peninsula Arabică însăși nu era în întregime arabă, Arabizarea a avut loc în unele părți ale Peninsulei Arabe. De exemplu, schimbarea limbii în limba arabă a deplasat limbile indigene din sudul limbii sudice sudice sudice din Yemenul modern și din sudul Omanului.
