În mitologia greacă, Cassandra, cunoscută și ca Alexandra sau Kassandra, a fost fiica regelui Priam și a reginei Hecuba din Troia. O versiune comună a povestirii sale este că Apollo ia dat puterea profeției pentru a o seduce, dar când a refuzat-o, ia dat blestemul de a nu fi crezut niciodată.
