Încetare a focului
O încetare a focului este o oprire temporară a unui război în care fiecare parte este de acord cu cealaltă pentru a suspenda acțiunile agresive. Pot fi declarate încetarea focului ca parte a unui tratat oficial, dar ele au fost, de asemenea, numite ca parte a unei înțelegeri informale între forțele opuse. Un armistițiu este un acord formal pentru a pune capăt luptelor.
