Ermanaric era un rege gotic greuungian care înainte de invazia Hunnic a condus în mod evident o parte considerabilă din Oium, partea din Scythia locuită de goții la acea vreme. Este menționat în două surse romane; scrierile contemporane ale lui Ammianus Marcellinus și în Getica de către istoricul Jordanes din secolul al VI-lea. Istoricii moderni au susținut că Ermanaric la un moment dat a domnit un regat care se întinde de la Marea Baltică până la Marea Neagră, la est, ca Munții Urali.
