În teologia Bisericii Catolice, Limbo este o idee speculativă despre condiția de viață după moarte a celor care mor în Păcatul Originar, fără a fi alocați iadului celor răi. Limbo nu este o doctrină oficială a Bisericii Catolice. Teologii medievali, în Europa de Vest, au descris lumea interlopă ca fiind împărțită în patru părți distincte: Iadul celor răi, Purgatoriu, Limba Părinților sau Patriarhilor și Limbo al nou-născuților.
Definiția limbo în dicționarul Engleză
Prima definiție a limbii în dicționar este presupusa moștenire a copiilor care mor fără botez și cel care a murit înaintea lui Hristos. O altă definiție a limbajului este un loc imaginar pentru persoane sau lucruri pierdute, uitate sau nedorite. Limbo este, de asemenea, un loc sau o condiție intermediară necunoscută între două extreme.
