În religia antică romană, Manes / meɪniːz / sau Di Manes sunt zeități chthonic, uneori considerate a reprezenta sufletele celor dragi. Ei au fost asociați cu Lares, Lemures, Genii și Di Penates ca zeități care aparțineau cultului național, local și personal. Acestea au aparținut, în linii mari, categoriei di inferi, "celor care locuiesc mai jos", colectivul nediferențiat al morților divine. Manes au fost onorați în timpul Parentalia și Feralia în luna februarie. Teologul Augustin, scriind despre subiect câteva secole după cele mai multe referințe păgâne latine la astfel de spirite, diferențiază Manes de alte tipuri de spirite romane: "Apuleius spune într-adevăr că sufletele oamenilor sunt demoni și că oamenii devin Lare dacă sunt bune, Lemuri sau Larve dacă sunt rele, și Manes dacă nu este sigur dacă merită bine sau bolnav.
