Fonem
Un fonem este o unitate de bază a fonologiei unui limbaj, care este combinată cu alte foneme pentru a forma unități semnificative, cum ar fi cuvinte sau morfeme. Fonemul poate fi descris ca fiind "cea mai mică unitate lingvistică contrastivă care poate aduce o schimbare de semnificație".
