Starea de conjunctură
Subjunctivul este o dispoziție gramaticală găsită în multe limbi. Formele subjunctive ale verbelor sunt folosite de obicei pentru a exprima diferite stări de nerealitate cum ar fi dorința, emoția, posibilitatea, judecata, opinia, necesitatea sau acțiunea care nu a avut încă loc - situațiile precise în care sunt folosite variază de la limbă la limbă. Subjunctivul este o dispoziție nerealistă - adesea este în contrast cu indicativul, care este o stare realistă. Subjunctivele apar cel mai adesea, deși nu exclusiv, în clauze subordonate, în special clauzele respective. Exemple de utilizare subjunctivă pot fi găsite în propozițiile în limba engleză "Vă sugerez să fiți atenți" și "Este important să rămână lângă dumneavoastră". Subjunctivul poate fi denotat de abrevierea lucioasă sjv sau sbjv. Este uneori menționată ca starea de conjunctură, deoarece se găsește mai ales în clauzele introduse de o conjuncție.
Definiția subjunctive în dicționarul Engleză
Prima definiție a subjunctivului din dicționar denotă o dispoziție a verbelor folosită atunci când conținutul clauzei este îndoielnic, presupus, temut adevărat etc., în loc să fie afirmat. Regulile pentru utilizarea sa și gama de semnificații pe care le posedă variază considerabil de la un limbaj la altul. În următoarea propoziție, era în subjunctiv. O altă definiție a subjunctivului este starea de conjunctură. Subjunctivul este, de asemenea, un verb în această stare de spirit.
