În meteorologie, vizibilitatea este o măsură a distanței la care un obiect sau lumină poate fi clar discernut. Este raportat în timpul observațiilor meteorologice de suprafață și al codului METAR fie în metri, fie în kilometri de stat, în funcție de țară. Vizibilitatea afectează toate formele de trafic: drumuri, navigație și aviație. Vizibilitatea meteorologică se referă la transparența aerului: în întuneric, vizibilitatea meteorologică este în continuare aceeași ca și în lumina naturală pentru același aer.
