Ipso facto

Ipso facto

Ipso facto is a Latin expression meaning For this fact. It is also used as fast or even very fast, literally, in the very fact. When used in the legal field, it is considered to be opposed to the expression ipso iure which can be translated as "by law" or "full law". The usual translation of ipso facto is "on the spot", implying the expression that a fact has occurred quickly and immediately. This has no basis in the etymological. On the other hand, in the legal field, the expression ipso facto serves to refer to a legal consequence that has occurred by virtue of a fact or act, therefore, this expression serves to describe those effects that occur by request or at the request Of part. For example, in the event that an act is voidable, the annulability must be requested by the party that feels harmed, so ipso facto occurs. While the nullity occurs ipso iure, without the need for anyone to request it. The RAE, in its online dictionary, defines ipso facto as follows. 1. loc. Adv.
