WHAT DOES PATRIMONIO MEAN IN SPANISH?

Heritage

The patrimony is the set of goods and rights belonging to a person, physical or legal. Historically the idea of heritage was linked to that of inheritance. Thus, for example, the RAE (Royal Spanish Academy) gives as the first meaning of the term hacienda that someone has inherited from their ascendants. The word is also used to refer to an individual's property, regardless of how he or she may have acquired it. From this point of view, the individual can be either a natural or legal person. Thus we speak of corporate assets: the set of assets, rights and obligations, belonging to a company - as a legal person - and which constitute the economic and financial means through which it can meet its objectives. (See Equity in Accounting and Equity in Accounting). In reference to real persons - and from a broader, less precise use of the term - "inherited" generally refers to the goods and rights that individuals access as members of a community.

Definition of patrimonio in the Spanish dictionary

The first definition of heritage in the dictionary of the real academy of the Spanish language is that someone has inherited from their ancestors. Another meaning of patrimony in the dictionary is the set of own assets acquired by any title. Patrimony is also a group of own goods, previously spiritualized and now capitalized and assigned to an ordinance, as a title for its ordination.
