WHAT DOES PROGNOSIS MEAN IN MALAY?
Prognosis
Prognosis is a medical term for a follow-up event prediction that can be for a person's current stand. When used in large statistical populations, estimates of prognosis can be very accurate: for example, the statement "45% of patients with severe septic shock will die within 28 days" can be made with some confidence, as earlier research found that the proportion of patients died. However, it is more difficult to translate into prognosis for individual patients: additional information is needed to determine whether a patient belongs to 45% who will die, or in 55% who will survive. The complete prognosis includes the expected duration, function, and description of the pathway of disease, such as progressive decline, intermittent crisis, or unexpected sudden crisis.
Definition of prognosis in the Malay dictionary
prognosis 1. a prediction of the healing of a disease, especially after the patient undergoes treatment, such as surgery, taking into account all factors such as age, etc.; 2. prediction or speculation.
