Protein
Proteins consist of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen. Some proteins also have phosphorus and sulfur elements. Fish, milk, meat, nuts and eggs are rich in protein. Proteins can build body tissues, enzymes and hormones. Protein forms the majority of structures inside the cell including as an enzyme and respiratory pigment. Proteins are formed from the amalgamation of base units known as amino acids. Proteins can be divided into two types, namely fibrous protein that depends largely on the secondary structure in which the form of this protein can be repeated. While the second form is a globular protein that relies heavily on structural interaction. There are 20 types of Amino Acids used to form the polypeptide chain Function, shape, size and type of protein will be determined by the type, number and distribution of amino acids found in the structure. The merger of some Amino Acids is called condensation reaction characterized by the formation of peptide bonds and the formation of water molecules.
