WHAT DOES CORNAMUSA MEAN IN PORTUGUESE?

Bagpipes

Bagpipes are an instrument of the aerophone family, composed of at least one melodic tube and a valve-mediated insufflator, both connected to an air reservoir; in most cases, there is at least one more melodic tube, whereby a constant pedal note is emitted in harmony with the melodic tube. It is a modal instrument, most of the times Ionian, although there are models in modes mixolídio and Aeolian, in addition to other possible. The singer has the peculiar configuration of being built based on a note, and tuned in another, which governs the tuning of the pedal note sounded by the staff. The possible tunings vary from bagpipe to bagpipe, usually in C, D, S, S, S, or B. Another peculiarity of the bagpipes is to integrate the restricted group of air instruments that play continuously and mechanically, without needing pause for the musician to breathe.
