Humanism
Humanism is a current in Western European culture of the Renaissance, which recognizes man as the highest value in a world where respect for human dignity and intellect, the right to happiness in life, the free expression of natural feelings and abilities are respected. The humanistic worldview is opposed to worldviews, for which a person does not stand at the top of the pyramid of values: the religious, where the most important value is proclaimed by God, the class, for which the most important interests of a certain class, the imperial, for which the first value is the interests of the empire, etc. The concept of humanism, as a social phenomenon, first appeared in the Renaissance.
