Ba'ath Party
Le parti socialiste Ba'ath arabe était un parti politique fondé en Syrie par Michel Aflaq, Salah al-Din al-Bitar et associés de Zaki al-Arsuzi. Le parti a épousé le Ba'athisme, qui est une idéologie qui mêle les intérêts nationalistes arabes, panarabolisants, arabes et socialistes et anti-impérialistes. Le ba'athisme appelle l'unification du monde arabe dans un seul et même état. Son devise, "Unité, Liberté, Socialisme", se réfère à l'unité arabe et à l'absence de contrôle et d'ingérence non-arabes. Le parti a été fondé par la fusion du Mouvement Arab Ba'ath, dirigé par Aflaq et al-Bitar, et le Ba'ath arabe, dirigé par al-Arsuzi, le 7 avril 1947 en tant que parti Arab Ba'ath. Le parti a rapidement établi des succursales dans d'autres pays arabes, bien que ce ne soit que le pouvoir en Irak et en Syrie. Le parti Arab Ba'ath a fusionné avec le Parti socialiste arabe, dirigé par Akram al-Hawrani, en 1952 pour former le Parti arabe Ba'ath socialiste.
