Les pigments sont utilisés pour la coloration de la peinture, de l'encre, du plastique, du tissu, des cosmétiques, de la nourriture et d'autres matériaux. La plupart des pigments utilisés dans la fabrication et les arts visuels sont des colorants secs, généralement broyés en poudre fine.
