Rideau de sécurité
Un rideau de sécurité est une mesure de sécurité incendie utilisée dans de grands théâtres de proscenium. Il s'agit généralement d'un rideau de fibre de verre ou de fer lourd situé immédiatement derrière l'arc de proscenium. Les matériaux à base d'amiante ont été utilisés à l'origine pour fabriquer le rideau, avant que les dangers de l'amiante n'aient été découverts. Alternativement, des composants sensibles à la chaleur peuvent être intégrés dans le gréement pour fermer automatiquement ce rideau en cas d'incendie. Enfin, il peut être libéré électroniquement par un système de contrôle de l'incendie d'un bâtiment si une boîte d'alarme est activée.
