Sécrétion
La sécrétion est le processus d'élaboration, de libération et d'élimination des produits chimiques, ou une substance chimique sécrétée d'une cellule ou d'une glande. Contrairement à l'excrétion, la substance peut avoir une certaine fonction, plutôt que d'être un produit de rebut. Le mécanisme classique de la sécrétion cellulaire se fait par des portails sécrétoires à la membrane plasmatique appelée porosomes. Les porosomes sont une structure permanente de lipoprotéines en forme de tasse à la membrane plasmatique, où les vésicules sécrétoires passent transitoirement et se fondent pour libérer le contenu intra-vésiculeux de la cellule. La sécrétion dans les espèces bactériennes signifie le transport ou la translocation de molécules effectrices par exemple: des protéines, des enzymes ou des toxines provenant de l'intérieur d'une cellule bactérienne jusqu'à son extérieur. La sécrétion est un mécanisme très important dans le fonctionnement et le fonctionnement des bactéries dans leur environnement naturel pour l'adaptation et la survie.
