Cas vocal
Le cas vocatif est le cas pour un nom qui identifie une personne traitée ou, occasionnellement, les déterminants de ce nom. Une expression vocale est une expression d'une adresse directe où l'identité du parti parlé se présente expressément dans une phrase. Par exemple, dans la phrase: «Je ne sais pas, John," John est une expression vocale qui indique que le parti est adressé - par opposition à la phrase, "Je ne connais pas John", où John est l'objet direct Du verbe "savoir". Historiquement, le cas vocatif était un élément du système indo-européen des cas, et existait en latin, sanskrit et grec classique. De nombreuses langues indo-européennes modernes ont perdu le cas vocatif. Beaucoup, cependant, le conservent, y compris les langues baltes et la plupart des langues slaves. Certains linguistes affirment que la forme vocative n'est pas un cas, mais une forme spéciale de noms n'appartenant à aucun cas, puisque les expressions vocales ne sont pas liées de manière syntaxique à d'autres mots dans des phrases.
