Offshoring

Offshoring - transfert de processus commerciaux sélectionnés à l'étranger. La délocalisation concerne à la fois la production et le service. Son objectif principal est de réduire les coûts, de sorte que les bénéficiaires de la délocalisation sont généralement des pays moins développés avec des coûts de main-d'œuvre moins élevés. Le transfert peut avoir lieu par le biais d'un investissement étranger ou d'une sous-traitance internationale. L'établissement d'une société étrangère affiliée est appelé délocalisation captive. Dans le second cas, c'est-à-dire lorsque le bénéficiaire du transfert est une entité étrangère non affiliée à la société concernée, le processus est appelé externalisation à l'étranger. Le contraire de la délocalisation est inshore. La délocalisation est la sixième des dix forces qui, selon Thomas Friedman, ont aplati le monde. Cela concerne principalement l'ouverture de la Chine à la coopération internationale et au libre-échange avec le reste du monde. Ce marché puissant pour le reste du monde est une opportunité et une menace en même temps.

W drugim przypadku, tj. gdy beneficjentem przeniesienia jest podmiot zagraniczny niezwiązany kapitałowo z danym przedsiębiorstwem, proces ten nosi nazwę offshore outsourcing. Przeciwieństwem offshoringu jest inshoring. Offshoring to szósta z dziesięciu sił, które zdaniem Thomasa Friedmana spłaszczyły świat. Dotyczy w głównej mierze otwarcia Chin na międzynarodową współpracę i swobodną wymianę handlową z resztą świata.
