Contrairement aux fusées, Fuller est une arme complexe visant la cible avec différents systèmes de guidage opérant uniquement dans l'atmosphère. La plupart d'entre eux ont un moteur de fusée. Füzeler, geçmişte genellikle uzun menziller için kullanılmışlardır. Nedeni ise öncelikle sistemin pahalılığı ve aynı zamanda güdüm sisteminin devreye girebilmesi için zaman gerekmesiydi. Kısa mesafede kullanıldığında güdümsüz bir silahla yapılan atıştan bir farkı yoktu. Günümüzde hem uzun hem de kısa menzilli çok sayıda tipi mevcuttur.
