Affetto (psicologia)
L'affetto si riferisce all'esperienza di sentimento o di emozione. L'affetto è una parte fondamentale del processo di interazione di un organismo con gli stimoli. La parola si riferisce anche a volte ad influire sul display, che è "un comportamento facciale, vocale o gestuale che funge da indicatore di effetto". Il dominio affettivo rappresenta una delle tre divisioni descritte nella psicologia moderna: il cognitivo, il conativo e l'affettivo. Classicamente, queste divisioni sono state anche chiamate "ABC della psicologia", in questo caso usando i termini "influenza", "comportamento" e "cognizione". In determinati punti di vista, il conativo può essere considerato come parte dell'attivo affettivo o affettivo come parte del cognitivo. Gli stati affettivi sono considerati costrutti psicofisiologici e sono suddivisi in tre categorie principali: valenza, eccitazione e intensità motivazionale. Valence è la valutazione positiva-negativa dello stato con esperienza soggettiva. La valenza emotiva è definita come riferimento alle conseguenze delle emozioni, alle circostanze suscitanti, o al sentimento o atteggiamento soggettive. L'eccitazione avviene tramite l'attivazione del sistema nervoso simpatico e può essere misurato soggettivamente.
