Odyseusz – w mitologii greckiej król Itaki; bohater Odysei Homera. Uchodził za syna herosa Laertesa i jego małżonki Antyklei. Według mitu był najprzebieglejszym z królów biorących udział w wojnie trojańskiej, autorem podstępu, dzięki któremu Grecy wygrali wojnę – konia trojańskiego. W podróży powrotnej do Itaki przeżył wiele przygód. Do końca pozostał wierny swej żonie Penelopie, choć zakochana w nim nimfa Kalipso oferowała mu nieśmiertelność. Obok Heraklesa i Tezeusza jest najbardziej znanym bohaterem greckich mitów i legend. Synem Odyseusza był Telemach.
