Polifonia
Na música, a polifonia é uma textura composta por duas ou mais linhas simultâneas de melodia independente, em oposição à música com apenas uma voz ou música com uma voz melódica dominante acompanhada de acordes. No contexto da tradição musical ocidental, o termo geralmente é usado para se referir à música do final da Idade Média e do Renascimento.
