Servidão
Serfdom é o status de camponeses sob feudalismo, especificamente relacionado ao manorialismo. O declínio da servidão na Europa Ocidental às vezes foi atribuído à Morte Negra, que atingiu a Europa em 1347, embora o declínio tenha começado antes dessa data. A servidão tornou-se cada vez mais rara na maior parte da Europa Ocidental após o Renascimento, mas, inversamente, cresceu forte na Europa Central e Oriental, onde anteriormente era menos comum.
