Difamação

A difamação - também chamada de calúnia, vilipendagem ou tradução - é a comunicação de uma declaração falsa que prejudica a reputação de um indivíduo, empresa, produto, grupo, governo, religião ou nação. A maioria das jurisdições permite ações legais para dissuadir vários tipos de difamação e retaliar contra críticas sem fundamento. De acordo com o direito comum, para constituir difamação, uma reivindicação deve geralmente ser falsa e ter sido feita a outra pessoa que não a pessoa difamada. Algumas jurisdições de direito comum também distinguem entre difamação falada, chamada calúnia e difamação em outras mídias, como palavras impressas ou imagens, chamadas difamação. As leis de falsas leis protegem contra declarações que não são tecnicamente falsas, mas enganosas. Em algumas jurisdições de direito civil, a difamação é tratada como um crime ao invés de um erro civil.
