Golem - na tradição judaica, uma criatura feita de argila na forma de um homem, mas sem uma alma que entenda o nesama e, portanto, a capacidade de falar. Esta palavra aparece apenas uma vez no Salmo 135: 15-17, que é uma tradição judaica na boca de Adão. Neste ponto, é traduzido como um embrião, mas provavelmente significa alguma forma, sem forma. Pierwsze przekazy o golemie utworzonym przez człowieka zawiera Talmud. Później na stałe praktyki te związane były z magicznym wykorzystaniem traktatu Sefer Jecira i odtworzeniem podanej tam struktury boskiej kreacji.
