Infecția cu virusul imunodeficienței umane / sindromul imunodeficienței dobândite este o boală a sistemului imunitar uman cauzată de infecția cu virusul imunodeficienței umane. Termenul HIV / SIDA reprezintă întreaga gamă de boli cauzate de virusul HIV de la infecția timpurie până la simptomele stadiului final.
