Cor
Un cor este un ansamblu muzical de cântăreți. Muzica corală, la rândul ei, este muzica scrisă special pentru un astfel de ansamblu. Un grup de cântăreți care joacă împreună ca grup se numește cor sau cor. Primul termen este foarte adesea aplicat grupurilor afiliate unei biserici, iar cel de-al doilea în grupuri care interpretează în teatre sau săli de concert, însă această distincție este departe de a fi rigidă. Termenul "cor" are definiția secundară a unui subset al unui ansamblu; astfel se vorbește de "corul lejer" al unei orchestre sau de diferite "coruri" de voci și / sau instrumente într-o compoziție policorală. I was a choir boy for 3 years in high school at St. George's in Newport, Rhode Island.
Writing songs out of my faith was a real natural progression. I grew up singing in my dad's choir and singing with my family. Christian music became the music that I identified myself with and was a way that I expressed my faith. Even at a public school I would take my Christian music in and play it for my friends.
I was on the cheerleading squad and drama and the choir, but I was friends with everybody. I was not a partier. I was too Type A and crazy about my grades, but I was still there at everything.
I got put out of my church choir because my pastor said, 'We can't have baby sister singing the blues and coming in here and singing on Sunday morning.'
