Frontieră
O frontieră este zona politică și geografică din apropierea sau dincolo de graniță. Termenul a venit din franceză în secolul al XV-lea, cu semnificația "graniță" - regiunea unei țări care se întoarce în altă țară. Cuvântul "frontieră" înseamnă, de asemenea, o regiune la marginea unei zone stabilite, în special în dezvoltarea nord-americană. Este o zonă de tranziție unde sosesc exploratori, pionieri și coloniști. Asta este, deoarece pionierii s-au mutat în "zona de frontieră", au fost schimbați de întâlnire.
