În ecologie, pradă este o interacțiune biologică în care un pradator se hrănește cu pradă. Predatorii pot sau nu pot ucide prada lor înainte de a le hrăni, dar actul de prădare duce adesea la moartea pradă și la absorbția eventuală a țesutului pradă prin consum. Alte categorii de consum sunt herbivorii, micofagii și detritivari, consumul de material organic mort. Toate aceste categorii de consum se încadrează în rubrica sistemelor de consum-resurse. Deseori, este dificil să se separe diferite tipuri de comportamente alimentare.
