Motiv
Motivul este capacitatea de a înțelege conștient lucrurile, de a aplica logica, de a stabili și de a verifica fapte și de a schimba sau justifica practici, instituții și credințe pe baza unor informații noi sau existente. Este strâns asociată cu astfel de activități caracteristice umane, cum ar fi filozofia, știința, limbajul, matematica și arta, și este în mod normal considerată a fi o caracteristică definitivă a naturii umane. Conceptul de rațiune este uneori menționat ca raționalitate și uneori ca motiv discursiv, în opoziție cu rațiunea intuitivă. Motivul sau "raționamentul" este asociat cu gândirea, cunoașterea și intelectul. Motivul, ca obișnuința sau intuiția, este unul dintre modurile prin care gândirea vine de la o idee la o idee asemănătoare.
