O proprietate de închiriere este o proprietate asupra unui drept temporar de a deține terenuri sau bunuri în care un locatar sau un chiriaș deține drepturi de proprietate imobiliară printr-o formă de titlu de la un locator sau proprietar. Deși un chiriaș deține drepturi la proprietatea imobiliară, o proprietate de închiriere este de obicei considerată drept proprietate personală. Închirierea este o formă de deținere a terenului sau de proprietate în cazul în care o parte cumpără dreptul de a ocupa terenuri sau o clădire pentru o anumită perioadă de timp.
