Subponderiul este un termen care descrie un om a cărui greutate corporală este considerată prea mică pentru a fi sănătoasă. Definiția se referă, de obicei, la persoanele cu un indice de masă corporală de sub 18,5 ani sau cu o greutate de 15% până la 20% mai mică decât cea normală pentru grupul de vârstă și înălțime.
