WHAT DOES COLOR MEAN IN SPANISH?

Color

Color is a visual perception that is generated in the brains of humans and other animals by interpreting the nerve signals sent by the photoreceptors in the retina of the eye, which in turn interpret and distinguish the different wavelengths they capture from the Visible part of the electromagnetic spectrum. Each illuminated body absorbs part of the electromagnetic waves and reflects the rest. The reflected waves are captured by the eye and interpreted in the brain as different colors according to the corresponding wavelengths. The human eye only perceives wavelengths when illumination is abundant. In low light it looks in black and white. In the so-called additive synthesis the white color results from the overlapping of all colors, while black is the absence of color. In subtractive synthesis the white only occurs under the absence of pigments and using a support of that color while black is the result of the superposition of the cyan, magenta and yellow colors. White light can be decomposed into all colors by means of a prism.

Definition of color in the Spanish dictionary

The first definition of color in the dictionary of the real academy of the Spanish language is sensation produced by the luminous rays that impress the visual organs and that depends on the wavelength. Another meaning of color in the dictionary is the natural color of the human complexion. Color is also a substance prepared for painting or dyeing.
