Sol

The Sun is a star of the spectral type G2 that is in the center of the Solar System and constitutes the greater source of electromagnetic radiation of this planetary system. The Earth and other bodies orbit around the Sun. By itself, it accounts for about 98.6 percent of the mass of the Solar System. The average distance from the Sun to Earth is approximately 149,600,000 kilometers and its light travels this distance in 8 minutes and 19 seconds. The Sun's energy, in the form of sunlight, sustains almost all forms of life on Earth through photosynthesis, and determines Earth's climate and weather. It is the star of the planetary system in which the Earth is; Therefore, it is the star with greater apparent brightness. Its visibility in the local sky determines, respectively, day and night in different regions of different planets. On Earth, energy radiated by the sun is used by the photosynthetic beings, which form the basis of the food chain, thus being the main energy source of life. It also contributes the energy that keeps the climatic processes working. El Sol es una estrella del tipo espectral G2 que se encuentra en el centro del Sistema Solar y constituye la mayor fuente de radiación electromagnética de este sistema planetario. La Tierra y otros cuerpos orbitan alrededor del Sol. Por sí solo, representa alrededor del 98,6 por ciento de la masa del Sistema Solar. La distancia media del Sol a la Tierra es de aproximadamente 149.600.000 kilómetros y su luz recorre esta distancia en 8 minutos y 19 segundos.
