चढ़ाई हुई सोने या चाँदी की पतली तह । गिलट । कलई ।

विशेष—साधारणतः मुलम्मा गरम और ठंढा दो प्रकार का होता है । जो मुलम्मा कुछ विशिष्ट क्रियाओं से आग की सहायता से
चढ़ाया जाता है, वह गरम कहलाता है, और जो बिजली की
बेटरी से अथवा और किसी प्रकार बिना आग की सहायता से
चढ़ाया जाता है, वह ठंढा मुलम्मा कहलाता है । ठंढे की अपेक्षा
गरम मुलम्मा अधिक स्थायी हाता है ।
