WHAT DOES COBBOLA MEAN IN ITALIAN?

cobla

The cobla is the basilica or basilica of medieval Trobadic poetry written in Occitan. Martín de Riquer defines the cobla as a "metric unit whose number of verses and rhymes are repeated in different parts of a poem, and at the same time is also a melodic unity." A cobla can also be an independent work, although in many cases one or two coblass represent only what remains of what was once a complete poem. Each coble of a song was usually sung with the same melody, but in some songs it always varied for each room. An independent coble is called cobla esparsa. The coble does not have a fixed extension: it swings from 3 to 44 verses, but predominates those of 8, 9 and 10 verses. Depending on the distribution of the rhymes, the coblas can be: ▪ Unissonans: if all strings have the same rhyme. ▪ Dissolutas: they are a variety of unissonans, with the peculiarity that the first verse of each verse has a different rhythm. ▪ Singulars: Every cobla has its own rhyme.
