Novel - a literary genre, most widespread in the XVIII-XX centuries; A large volume, complex in structure epic work, which is widely encountered in life events, deeply reveals the history of the formation of characters of many characters. As a literary term the word "novel" was used in the XVI century. English literary critic George Pattenham in the work "The Art of English Poetry". At first, the word "novel" called any poem works written in romance, and not in Latin. Subsequently, they begin to call prose works with a specific theme - love. This is already mentioned in the XVII century.
