Pacemaker est un logiciel gratuit commun pour la gestion des ressources dans les clusters à haute disponibilité pilotés par Linux. Pour communiquer les nœuds entre eux, définissez sur OpenAIS ou sur le battement de cœur obsolète. Pacemaker prend en charge le contrôle des périphériques STONITH, qui peut être utilisé pour éteindre automatiquement les noeuds en cas de déconnexion de l'opération de cluster. Pacemaker faisait autrefois partie du projet Linux-HA; C'est le successeur réécrit 2008 de Heartbeat, qui a été divisé en un nouveau projet. Il a été développé par les développeurs SUSE, qui est également le premier à fournir un support technique commercial pour SUSE.
