Branch

Une branche ou une branche d'arbre est un élément structurel boisier relié à mais non une partie du tronc central d'un arbre. Les grandes branches sont connues sous le nom de branches et les petites branches sont connues sous le nom de brindilles. Alors que les branches peuvent être presque horizontales, verticales ou diagonales, la majorité des arbres ont des branches diagonales ascendantes. Le terme «brindille» se réfère souvent à un terminus, alors que «la branche» se réfère uniquement aux branches qui proviennent directement du coffre. A branch or tree branch is a woody structural member connected to but not part of the central trunk of a tree. Large branches are known as boughs and small branches are known as twigs. While branches can be nearly horizontal, vertical, or diagonal, the majority of trees have upwardly diagonal branches. The term "twig" often refers to a terminus, while "bough" refers only to branches coming directly from the trunk.
