La théorie de l'espérance
La théorie de l'espérance propose qu'un individu décide de se comporter ou d'agir d'une certaine manière parce qu'ils sont motivés à choisir un comportement spécifique par rapport à d'autres comportements en raison de ce qu'ils attendent du résultat de ce comportement sélectionné. En substance, la motivation de la sélection du comportement est déterminée par l'opportunité du résultat. Cependant, au cœur de la théorie est le processus cognitif de la façon dont un individu traite les différents éléments de motivation. Ceci est fait avant de faire le choix ultime. Le résultat n'est pas le seul facteur déterminant à prendre la décision de se comporter. La théorie de l'attente concerne les processus mentaux concernant le choix ou le choix. Cela explique les processus que l'individu subit pour faire des choix. Dans l'étude du comportement organisationnel, la théorie de l'espérance est une théorie de la motivation proposée pour la première fois par Victor Vroom de la Yale School of Management.
